The *Chambers’s Journal* ledger entry for her poem, published on 12 October 1878, gives her name as “Miss Wilson” and her address as 3 Elmbank St, Glasgow (NLS Dep 341/371). According to the 1881 Census, she lived at this address with her mother, also called Helen Wilson, and she gave her profession as “author.” She married James Meldrum c. 1881.
