Poet. Born c. 1524 in Essex. Educated at King’s College, and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
Moved to Suffolk, Norfolk, and Norwich before settling in Essex to pursue a career
of farming under the patronage of several landlords in the areas. Married twice: an
unknown woman who died of illness and Amy Moon. Author of *A Hundreth Good Pointes
of Husbandrie* (1557) and *Five Hundreth Points of Good Husbandry United to as many
