Poet. Born c. 1595. Educated at Merton College, Oxford, and Middle Temple. Travelled
to Italy and the Netherlands as a part of diplomatic embassies. Author of poetry for
aristocratic patrons. Sewer-in-ordinary to the King (1630). Author of *An Elegy Upon
the Death of the Deane of Paul’s, Dr. John Donne* (1631). Acquainted with Ben Jonson
