Poet. Born in Plattsburg, New York. Sister of the poet Margaret Miller Davidson. Precocious poet who composed poetry before she could write. Attended Plattsburgh Academy at age four, then returned home at age fifteen to run the household because of her mother’s illness. She attended Emma Willard’s female seminary in Troy, New York, in November 1824, but returned home due to ill health and died shortly afterwards at home from tuberculosis.
