Poet, historical fiction writer, and clergyman. Born c. 1798-1802. Educated at Trinity College Dublin. Curate in several parishes in Ireland. Moved to England in 1869. Rector of Whyton, Cambridgeshire. Chaplain to the Mariners’ Church in Kingstown, Ireland (1836-1862). Wrote religious poetry and prose. Contributed to *Dublin University Magazine*. Author of a historical fiction account of the 1641 Irish rebellion, which he published anonymously. Married Anna Stopford.
