Poet, playwright, lyricist, biographer, and editor. Alternative signature: “Mrs. Cornwell Baron Wilson.” Married the solicitor Cornwell Baron Wilson on 15 April 1819. Mother of Florence Margaret Wilson. Author of several poetry volumes including *Melancholy Hours* (1816), *Astarte, a Sicilian Tale, with other Poems* (1818), *Hours at Home* (1826), and *The Cypress Wreath* (1828). Founded and edited the *Weekly Belle Assemblée* in 1833, which became in 1834 the *New Monthly Belle Assemblée*. Considered by the *ODNB* to be one of the first female biographers.
