Poet, Church of Scotland clergyman, editor. Brother of Norman Macleod. Educated at the University of Glasgow. Travelled across Europe, Egypt, Palestine, Constantinople, and Greece. Minister of Park Church. Convenor of the Home Mission Committee of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (1889-1901) and became Moderator of the General Assembly in 1895.
