Poet. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in her ancestral home “Sweet Auburn.” Educated
at Cambridgeport Grammar School and a girl’s school in Boston where she learned French
and Italian. Author of *Sweet Auburn and Mount Auburn, with Other Poems* (1844) and
