Aitken.” The *Chambers’s Journal* Authors’ Book entry for his poem, published on 14 May 1881 and received on 15 October 1880, gives Aitken’s address as 26 Upper Port St, Southport (NLS Dep 341/294); the journal ledger entries list his address as 83 and 82 Portland St, Southport (10 December 1887, 11 May 1889; NLS Dep 341/369, 370).
