Architect, editor, poet, illustrator, biographer, art collector, and art historian. Born in London. Member of the Century Guild organization, and edited *The Century Guild Hobby Horse* (1884-1894). Member of the Rhymers’ Club. Architect of the Chapel of the Ascension in Hyde Park Place from 1889-1890, which was demolished in 1969. Moved to Florence in 1904 to focus on art collecting, dealing, and history. Author of a biography of Botticelli, *Alessandro Filipepi Commonly Called Sandro Botticelli, Painter of Florence* (1908).
