Historian, biographer, novelist, and poet. From Bengal. A member of the Dutt family of poets and the cousin of Govin Chunder Dutt. Worked in the Bengal civil service. Prolific writer. Publications include *A Vision of Sumeru, and Other Poems* (1878), *Bengalania* (1879).
