Artist, industrial designer, and photographer. Born in Paris. Worked as an industrial
designer for 30 years. Exhibited at a Brussels industrial exhibition (1857). Opened
a plaster casts manufacturing and photography company in Paris in 1864 that was ultimately
a failure. Instead, sold the photographs of plants and flowers to drawing schools.
