Fane, Julian Charles Henry (M)

b. 10 October 1827. d. 19 April 1870.
Poet, translator, diplomat. Pseudonym: “Neville Temple.” Youngest son of Eleventh Earl of Westmorland. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. Worked in the diplomatic service in Berlin, Vienna, St. Petersburg, and Paris from 1844-1868. Co-author of *Tannhäuser, or, The Battle of the Bards* (1861) with Edward Bulwer-Lytton.
