Novelist, journalist, lawyer, and poet. Pseudonym: “A. F.” Also called “Albany de
Grenier Fonblanque” (after he legally changed his name) and “Albany Fonblanque the
Younger.” Born c. 1829-1830. Became a lawyer in 1853 and worked in Egypt and Constantinople.
Worked for the British consuls in Colombia and the United States (New Orleans). Contributed
