Poet and portrait painter. Pseudonym: “Pictor.” Born in Worthing, Sussex. Lived for a period in Devon, and also in London. Secretary of the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society (1857-1865). Had a poem included in the *Burns Centenary Poems* (1859). Author of *The Battle of Hastings and Other Poems* (1853). Biographical information: W. H.
