Born in Tallaght, County Dublin. Sister of poets Mary and Katherine Furlong. Member
of the Gaelic League. Regularly contributed to *The Irish Monthly*. Author of poetry
volume *Roses and Rue* (1899). *Chambers’s Journal* ledger entry for “To Spring,”
published on 4 March 1893, lists her as Miss A. Furlong, of The Villa, Tallaght, Co.
