Catholic poet, writing in English and Gaelic, and involved in the Irish literary revival. Born in Tallaght, County Dublin. Sister of poets Mary and Katherine Furlong. Member of the Gaelic League. Regularly contributed to *The Irish Monthly*. Author of poetry volume *Roses and Rue* (1899). *Chambers’s Journal* ledger entry for “To Spring,” published on 4 March 1893, lists her as Miss A.
