Novelist, feminist, and poet. Pseudonym: “Émile Bosquet”. Born in Rouen. Educated at the Institution Chevalier. Contributed to the *Revue Bleue*, *Revue de Rouen*, *l’Opinion Nationale*, *Revue de Paris*, *Journal de Rouen*, and *Le Droit des Femmes*. Member of the Association for the Rights of Women. Author of many French legends including the collection *La Normandie Romanesque et Merveilleuse; Traditions, Légendes et Superstitions Populaires de Cette Province* (1845) and *Une Femme Bien Élevée* (1867), published under her pseudonym.
