Poet, novelist, and lawyer. Born Jemmett Brown, and later changed his surname to Jemmett-Browne.
Educated at Worcester and Corpus Christi Colleges, Oxford. Admitted to Lincoln’s Inn
(1859), and called to Bar (1867). Author of *Songs of Many Seasons* (1876, 1879).
