Nationality: Scottish.
Poet, hymn writer, and Church of Scotland minister at Morven, Argyllshire. Pseudonym: “Morven.” Born c. 1821. His father was minister of the same parish before him. Wrote poems in Gaelic and English. became Moderator of the Church of Scotland (in 1851) and Dean of the Chapel Royal.
