Poet, bookbinder, teacher. Unmarried. Daughter of Walter Treverbian Prideaux, administrator of Goldsmith’s Hall, poet, and lawyer (the *Chambers’s Journal* ledger entries for her poems, published on 19 December 1874 and 21 August 1875, gives her address as Goldsmiths’ Hall [NLS Dep 341/368]). In 1884 trained as a bookbinder with Joseph Zaensdorf in London, and then with Leon Gruel in Paris. Established a binding studio in 1884, and taught at Cheltenham Ladies’ College in 1908.
