King Henry VIII, King (M)

English monarch (1509-1847). Second surviving son of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. Led the English Reformation by separating the Church of England from papal authority following the annulment of his first marriage to Catherine of Aragon. Noted for his six marriages.
