Cameron, William C. (M)

b. 1822. d. 1889. Nationality: Scottish.
Working-class poet, writing in Scots and English. Born in Dumbarton Castle. Apprenticed as a shoemaker, and also worked as a stable boy, before moving to Glasgow where he had his own business that eventually went bankrupt. Worked for the publisher Menzies & Co. in Glasgow.
