A foliate and vegetal pattern with flowers and buds weaves around multiple illustrated parts. The stems form circular shapes, which are filled-in with a dark background. Two lutes appear at the center of the illustration. Their necks cross and an open flower is placed at the intersection. There are three banners throughout the illustration. The first banner is centered at the top; it reads “MUSIC”. The second banner, at the left side of the illustration, reads “IF MUSIC BE THE”. The third banner, at the right side of the illustration, reads “FOOD OF LOVE, PLAY ON:” 1/4 page.
