               <l>A day of clouds and tempest, that I <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="b">stood</rhyme></l>
               <l>Within the shade of over-arching <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="b">wood</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>My bosom filled with visions of de<rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="a">cay</rhyme> ;</l>
               <l>Around were strewed the shivered leaves, all <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="c">wet</rhyme> ;</l>
               <l>The boughs above were dripping ; and the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="d">sky</rhyme></l>

               <l>And found them like the mist, or matin <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="g">dew</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>Fading to nothingness in Time’s a<rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="f">byss</rhyme>.</l>
               <l>Our fathers,—where are they ? The moss is <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="h">green</rhyme></l>
               <l>Upon the tablet that records their <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="i">worth</rhyme> ;</l>
               <l>They have co-mingled with their parent <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="i">earth</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>And only in our dreams of yore are <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="h">seen</rhyme>,—</l>
               <l>Our visions of the by-past, which have <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="j">fled</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>To leave us wandering ’mid the buried <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="j">dead</rhyme>.</l>

               <l>I heard their voices issuing from the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="l">mould</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>Amid the scenes that bear of them no <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="k">trace</rhyme>.</l>
               <l>I thought of smiling children, who have <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="m">sat</rhyme></l>
               <l>All evening on my knees, and pressed my <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="n">hand</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>Their cherub features and their accents <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="n">bland</rhyme>,—</l>
               <l>Their innocence,—and their untimely <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeHalf" label="m">fate</rhyme> ;—</l>
               <l>How soon their flower was cropt, and laid be<rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="o">low</rhyme></l>
               <l>The turf, where daisies spring, and lilies <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="o">blow</rhyme>.</l>

               <l>Beats on the emerald ice, and rocky <rhyme label="a" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">bay</rhyme> ;</l>
               <l>I thought me of the old times,—of the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="q">halls</rhyme></l>
               <l><seg ana="dvpp:sdAnaphora">Of</seg> ancient castles mouldering to the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="r">dust</rhyme>—</l>

               <l>Hanging in danky vaults, upon the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="q">walls</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>Where coffined warriors rest, amid the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="s">night</rhyme></l>

               <l>Was wrinkled only by the tardy <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="t">rain</rhyme>.</l>
               <l>Dim was the aspect of the sullen <rhyme label="d" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">sky</rhyme> ;—</l>
               <l>The night scowled gloomier down :—I could not <rhyme label="o" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">throw</rhyme></l>
