               <l><hi rendition="#pom_6052_incid_small-caps">Let</hi> dotards grieve for childhood’s days,</l>
               <l>And only those look <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="a">back</rhyme></l>
               <l>Whose wasted <seg ana="dvpp:sdInRhyme">wealth</seg> or shattered <seg ana="dvpp:sdInRhyme">health</seg></l>
               <l>Betrays a shameless <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="a">track</rhyme> :</l>
               <l>I cannot join in mourning time</l>

               <l>The rivers sing the self-same <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="e">song</rhyme></l>
               <l>That they have sung for <rhyme label="b" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">aye</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>Whose burden, as they glide a<rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="e">long</rhyme>,</l>
               <l ana="dvpp:sdRefrain dvpp:sdVariant">Is, ‘ God is here to-<rhyme label="b" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">day</rhyme> !’</l>

               <l>But in the summer twilight <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="f">now</rhyme></l>
               <l>As sweetly sings to <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="g">me</rhyme> :</l>
               <l>The bleakest wind that winter <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="h">blows</rhyme></l>
               <l>Can chase disease a<rhyme label="b" type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine dvpp:rhymeCrossStanza">way</rhyme>,</l>
               <l>And shower blessings in the <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="h">snows</rhyme></l>

               <l>But man beholds majestic <rhyme type="dvpp:rhymeMasculine" label="m">themes</rhyme></l>

               <l>Who walk the earth with cherished hopes</l>
