Poet and indigenous rights campaigner. Born in Blue Mountains, Jamaica. Son of Stephen Bourne and Elizabeth Quirk. Friends with Henry Morley. Educated at London University and King’s College. Worked as a clerk at the War Office and an editor for various publications, and spearheaded a number of successful initiatives as secretary of the Aborigines’ Protection Society.
