Illustrator. Born in Oxford. Son of John Sherren Brewer, a clergyman and professor of English at King’s College, and Harriett Mary Nicholas. Educated in Norwich. Married Frances Mary Mottley (1842-1927) in 1862. A member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Created Old London Illustrated, a series of illustrations depicting London during the reign of Henry VIII. Exhibited his art at the Royal Academy, the British Institution, and the Suffolk Street gallery (1858-1893).
