Poet and Church of England clergyman. Educated at Balliol College, Oxford. Vicar in Braydon, Wiltshire, from 1860, where he was involved in building the first church. Curate of Purton, near Swinton, in Wiltshire (according to the 1866 Clergy List and the Chambers’s Journal ledger entry for his poem published on 22 June 1872).
