Author information from Chambers’s Journal ledger entries for In Vain and Last Words, published on 25 August 1888 and 19 October 1889, which list the poet as Mrs Daman, of Eton College, Windsor, Bucks (NLS Dep 341/370). Daman may have been the wife of Rev. Henry Daman, who is listed as an Eton College resident in Kelly’s Directory of Berkshire, Bucks and Oxon, Kelly & Co., 1883, p. 325. (AC)
