Entered the service of the duke of Villahermosa in 1585. Appointed historiographer
of Aragon in 1599. Author of Información de los sucesos de Aragón en los Años de 1590 y 1591 (not published until 1808). Moved to Naples in 1610 as secretary to the viceroy.
Burnt his poetry prior to his death but his son had retained copies and published
