Poet. Pseudonym: Bee. Author identified from the Chambers’s Journal ledger entries to the poems published on 30 November 1878 (When I Was Seventeen!) and 28 June 1879 (Knitting), where the poet is listed as Miss Dill, of Dollar (NLS Dep 341/371). One other poem by Bee was published in in Chambers’s Journal (My Wife, on 23 November 1878) and ascribed to “Miss Reade” in the ledger, with no address given. The relationship between Miss Reade and Miss Dill is unclear. (AC)
