Poet, novelist, and Prime Minister of England. Jewish. Born in London. Son of Isaac D’Israeli and Maria (née Basevi). Friends with William Meredith. Wrote and travelled while avoiding a legal career before eventually beginning a career in politics as a Conservative politician. Married Mary Anne Lewis on 28 August 1839. Elected Prime Minister in 1874 and served in office until 1880. Made 1st Earl of Beaconsfield in 1876. Maintained a successful literary presence during his political career.
