Sir George Douglas.Born in Gibraltar, where his mother, Doña Sanchez de Pina, was from. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. Member of New Club and Edinburgh Club. An acquaintance of William Sharp and Thomas Hardy. Some of his publications include Poems of a Country Gentleman (1897), Scottish Fairy and Folk Tales (1901), and Scottish Poetry: Drummond of Hawthornden to Fergusson (1911).
