Flawed Roses,published on 20 August 1898, lists the author as Miss A. S. Falconer, of Elder Bank, Duns (NLS Dep 341/371), in Berwickshire. The Falconer sisters contributed to a range of Scottish and English newspapers and periodicals, including People’s Journal, Weekly Scotsman, Pall Mall Magazine. Agnes is also the author of the poetry volumes Whinblossom (1904) and Wishing Wood, and Other Verses (1911).
