Poet, short story writer, and novelist. Alternative signature: C. C. Fraser-Tytler. Born in Ahmednagar, India, but raised in Scotland by her paternal grandparents after the death of her mother. Travelled with her family to Italy and Germany in 1868, where she met her future husband, Rev. Edward Liddell, marrying him on 26 September 1871.
