F. Anstey(originated due to a printing error). Born in London. Son of Thomas Anstey Guthrie and Augusta Amherst Austen. Educated at King’s College and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Worked as a staff writer for Punch from 1886 to 1930. Publications include translations of Molière, compilations of Punch contributions, and a prolific amount of novels, usually of fantastical or humorous subject matter, most notably his first and most famous publication, Vice Versa (1882).
