Almon.Born in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Daughter of Henry Pryor Almon and Sarah Frances De Wolf. Educated at home by governesses, then while travelling educated at St. Denis School and St. Monica’s School in Wiltshire, and Miss Watson’s School in Paris. Worked as a lecturer. Lived various stints in England, France, and the United States but returned to Barton, Nova Scotia in the summers. Married Hubert Arthur Hensley on 25 April 1889. Publications include Poems (1889) and The Way of a Woman, and Other Poems (1928) as her first and last publications, both under variations of her real name, as well as several other novels and volumes of verse published under various pseudonyms.
