Contributed to many periodicals including the Critic, The Miller, Mark Lane Express, Sussex Express. Editor of agricultural magazines the Farmer and *The Country Gentleman’s Magazine. Travelled to France and Spain several times between 1876-1878. Author of The Statue Shrine (1857).
