P. Shaw Jeffrey.Born in Cheltenham, England. Son of Thomas Ashby Jeffrey and Mary Helen Jeffrey. Educated at Trent College in Long Eaton (1875-1878). Appointed as the headmaster at Colchester Royal Grammar School in Essex (1900-1916). Made contributions to the teaching of phonetics in schools. Published prose and poetry in periodicals, including English Illustrated Magazine, Longman’s, and The Boy’s Own Paper.
