Dodge. Born in New York City. Married twice, first to Edmund Stedman and then to William Kinney in 1841. Mother of Edmund Clarence Stedman. Contributed to Graham’s, Ladies’ Wreath, Knickerbocker, and Newark Daily Advisor. Author of Felicità: A Metrical Romance (1855), Poems (1867), and Bianca Capello: A Tragedy (1873). Moved to Italy from 1850-1865, supported Italian Unification, and was closely connected with English writers such as Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Alfred Tennyson.
