W. K. Leask.Born in Old Machar, Aberdeen. Educated at the University of Aberdeen and Merton and Worcester Colleges, Oxford. Assistant Professor of Greek at the University of Aberdeen (1881-1887). Lecturer at the University of Oxford (1889-1894). Returned to Aberdeen in 1894 where he wrote and edited books. Contributed to Aberdeen University Review and Glasgow Herald. Chambers’s Journal ledger entry for
