W. Lovett.Born in Newlyn, Cornwall. Son of William Lovett, who died before his birth, and Kezia (née Green). Worked as a woodworker and cabinet maker. Married Mary Solly on 3 June 1826. One of the people behind The People’s Charter (1838), and generally a prominent figure in the Chartist movement. Other publications include some textbooks, various political writings, and The Life and Struggles of William Lovett, in his Pursuit of Bread, Knowledge, and Freedom (1877).
