Pittendrigh.Born in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Inspired by his father, who was a sculptor, learned sculpture. Mentored by William Brodie and John Mossman. An advocate of Celtic Revival and Scottish nationalism. Member of Glasgow Arts Club, Glasgow Boys, Royal Scottish Academy, and Aberdeen Painters’s Society.
