I. McLellan, Jun.Born in Portland, Maine and moved to Boston at a young age with his family. Educated at Bowdoin College. Contributed to the Daily Patriot, the Daily Advertiser, the Weekly Pearl, Boston Monthly Magazine, and the New England Magazine. Moved to New York City in 1851. Contributed to many sports journals including The Turf, Field and Farm, Forest and Stream, and American Angler, as well as the Home Journal.
