Captain McNaghten.Born in Belfast. Married Laura Roberts, the sister of poet Emma Roberts, and moved in 1828 with the Roberts sisters to India, where they lived in Agra, Cawnpore, and Etawah. His wife died in 1830 and he retired from the army in 1839. Author of Miscellaneous Verses (1831), privately printed in Calcutta.
