Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry

Poet, novelist, publisher, and frontiersman. Pseudonym: Joaquin Miller. Attended Columbia College for three months in 1857-1858. Adopted the name Joaquin in the late 1850s as a show of support for the Mexican desperado Joaquin Murieta. Founded and edited the short-lived Review. Became popular in England as a writer of the stereotypical Western America and toured extensively throughout Europe.
