Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, and the Inner Temple. Practiced as a solicitor and Justice of the Peace for Surrey. Contributed to Punch. Collaborated with the composer Isaac Albéniz and wrote several operas including Henry Clifford (1895) and Pepita Jiménez (1896). Became the 5th Baron Latymer in 1913.
