Poet, journalist. Born in Edinburgh. Wrote columns in newspapers and periodicals, including People's Friend, Glasgow Herald, and Haddington Courier. Chambers’s Journal ledger entry for The Flower-Girl, published on 1 October 1892, gives his address as 85 Fisher St, Denniston, Glasgow (NLS Dep 341/370).
