Poet and editor. Pseudonym: F. T. P. Alternative signature: F. T. Palgrave. Educated at Balliol College, Oxford. Editor of Golden Treasury of English Songs and Lyrics (1861). Close friend and disciple of Alfred Lord Tennyson, helping to edit Tennyson’s papers after his death. Served as a professor of poetry at Oxford from 1885-1895.
