Emma.Unmarried. Born in Greater Yarmouth, Norfolk. Trained as a nurse with the Red Cross. Nursed during the Franco-Prussian War and the Serbo-Turkish War. Author of several memoirs about her time as a nurse abroad including Our Adventures During the War of 1870 (1871) and Service in Servia Under the Red Cross (1877).
